Why do I need Companion Care?

Companion Care is a necessity for aging or for people who need a little bit of help. Companion aids prevent falls, accidents, which in long term prevents trips to the hospital or nursing home, or rehab centers.

What is the difference between a caregiver and Home Health Aid?

Home Health Aids perform direct patient care and treat illnesses with doctors’ orders over. HHA works over doctors’ instructions and perform direct patient care. Companion Aides help loved ones with dressing, cleaning, light housekeeping (which is huge because lately the aides that other centers that have been sending don’t do vacuuming and housekeeping), walks, grocery shopping. Assist with meals, support systems, medication reminders. 

How many hours a day or week would I need this service?

It varies case by case.

Does medical insurance cover this?

Long term care is covered, soon we will be under Medicaid coverage, but not until the Summer of 2020.

Do you have a minimum amount of hours needed for your services?

Yes, a minimum of 2 hours/visit.

Do you provide care to patients with Dementia?
